Was Danny at Waitaki Braids a mag?
We travel around New Zealand a lot and finding a places that can serve good gluten-free vegan food is just about impossible, so we were blown away by the food that you provided us for lunch, it was certainly the most delicious and freshest that we’ve ever had! Next time we need a weekend getaway instead of staying in Oamaru we’re gonna come take Kurow! View all feedback.

What Lynne Sparks dislikes about Waitaki Braids:
Called in for coffee as such great reviews. Food looked great , however had to bring to the young man's attention at the counter that there was a blowfly crawling over those lovely pies made with Filo Pastry and even worse two more amongst the cakes. I sincerely hope this was display food only and not what I would of got served if we had not noticed the flies. Unfortunately we were put off and left and went somewhere... View all feedback.

Wow, what a gorgeous establishment. We were overnight guests and just loved the warmth and hospitality from Kate and her team the moment we walked in the door after a big day on our bikes. 3 course dinner was amazing as was breakfast and the coffee. Thankyou

Superb coffee and delicious cinnamon scroll. Also loved the fresh flowers…camellias and winter roses on tables.

If you feel like being treated like dirt perhaps this place is for you. Kate is unfriendly and downright rude. Has no idea how to serve customers or any concept of customer service. She yells and shouts at customers, clears plates away before people have had a chance to finish their meals. Yells at kids because they picked a small flower from her garden. I would not recommend this place at all. Rather go to the other friendly establishments on the street. I don’t understand how she has any good reviews when various friends and family have visited this cafe and received the same treatment. Word of advice kate- perhaps Employ some friendly staff to be the face of your cafe.

Loved my bacon and eggs this morning. Good coffee too! Nice to sit out in the garden and enjoy the sunshine .
