It was in a very hurry, I had to find a place to stay. I rang the number and book through internet. Amazingly the staff was so friendly giving me instructions, how to get there. When I checked in, I found she is not only friendly on the phone but also when I meet her in person. She is informative, humble and talkative. It three months ago October 2, 2017.... What John Tey doesn't like about Le Nomade Hostel Cafe (previously Normad Borneo Bed Breakfast):
This review is for their motorbike rental, I didn't sleep here. Worst bikes after 4 months in asia for the highest price I've had so far €10 day) the brakes are bad, suspension is not for 2people and if its your first time on a bike, its simply dangerous. They didnt seem to care. View all feedback.
Nice hostel with a relaxing outdoor terrace. The staff was helpful and the location was very central. Breakfast was standard for each hostel. We wanted to stay for three days, but in the end we'd stay 10 days. After traveling Asia for 4 months, I would say that this place would be a great place for a stopover just to energize again.
Showers did not work. Wifi did not work. Electrical sockets in room did not work. Reception was never available and breakfast was not available when they said that it would be. Save yourself the trouble and pay an extra 5 or so ringgit to find another hotel which has aircon and all of the things above.
Very cheap hostel for online booking with the easy-going staff with very fluent English.
A good place for all young backpackers to cool and meet other travelers.. Located at the central point of the cat town, it is definitely worth staying for its great hospitality and simply getting the transport and mall that is only within walking distance!
Nice and clean with a cool community area where you can see DVDs and enjoy free use of a PC. Breakfast is available from 6-11 and consists of toast, jam etc. Tea and coffee is available free 24 hours a day, which is quite sweet. A bed in a dormitory costs 25 ringgit (March 2016) and they also sell Rice Wine at 27 ringgit a bottle!
