I followed Anne's review on Google map and found this place. we drive from Cape Town, arrive at 8:40pm hungry and tired. the Watron probably realised that and w... read more I followed Anne's review on Google map and found this place. we drive from Cape Town, arrive at 8:40pm hungry and tired. the Watron probably realised that and welcomes us warmly. the food is great and I have no doubt to say, even better than some of the steak house in Cape Town! mushroom crumbled to perfection, medium rare stake are not over cooked, and chicken wings! the chef was kind enough to give us portion bigger than the menu! after a long day of drinking this really put a smile on my face. thank you for the warm hosting!

Limited for restaurants to go to, we searched and... read more We drove from Johannesburg to visit our helper who had suffered a stroke and who was celebrating her birthday. Limited for restaurants to go to, we searched and found this lovely little restaurant opposite the Spur. They welcomed us and were so concerned about our helper. We spent a couple of hours there, and even though we were the first to arrive and last to leave, they were happy to stay open for us. On Sundays they serve buffet and this was nice. The home made custard tart the iwners made was absolutely scrumptious. As a quick drive through I'd recommend this restaurant as a first option in Kroinstad. Thank you Oudorp, for welcoming and making my helper and her son feel at home. Much appreciated.
