They have one vegan pizza. The dough is made with spinach and hummus, which sounds really healthy and also tastes really good. Unfortunately instead of tomato sauce they use hummus, which takes away the classical pizza feeling, but is indeed very tasty. There are several Toppings but no vegan cheese substitute, all natural. What User doesn't like about Pizzera Camplin:
I’m afraid I didn’t really like it. Way too much topping and very heavy! If you do decide to have it, only go for the small one. They have tried to add all the vegan favourites, except no tomato base and it just doesn’t work. On a positive, the waitress was lovely and helpful and the restaurant is in a great location and was busy. My friend, a carnie, had the vegetable pizza and felt exactly the same as me. There is one vegan pizza on the menu with hummus, tofu and vegetables on it. Tasted generally okay but a bit bland, towards the end I noticed that there is a piece of melted mozzarella on it. When asked, the waitress said it was something vegan melted. I almost ate it but then looked again in the menu, after there was only tofu, hummus and vegetables listed I asked again after an initial 'can not be ' she said she asks in the kitchen. It was real cheese and we were dispatched with a short clumsy apology. Updated from previous review on 2023 08 23
Very nice and busy restaurant and the pizza was delicious!
The service was very good. They have a very fast kitchen staff and we did not have to wait long at all! The vegan pizza was fantastic.
As mentioned in previous comments, the one vegan pizza has interesting ingredients and does not taste like a standard pizza, it is very delicous and the small size was more than enough for me. My friend wasn't so hungry and just wanted something little. They had only two salads, one with ruccola and tomatoes and the other only with green salad. That wasn't enough, so he had to take the pizza bread that wasn't the plan before.
The service was very good. You have a very fast kitchen staff and we didn't have to wait long! The vegan pizza was fantastic.
