Fischelner Burghof - Krefeld

No way that you enter by coincidence in this establishment in a small village belonging to big Krefeld. But it is recommendable as you can enjoy a very well prepared basic German food dish in an authentic environment.

Formerly restaurant Gietz and renamed Burghof as a result of a buyout by local inhabitants, this very old Fischelner restaurant has been modernised (in the kitchens) and tastefully decorated throughout. The Burghof has everything, a fine restaurant, a wonderful beer garden innerhof, meeting rooms...for local social and sports clubs as well as a separate skittle alley with eating and drinking facilities. The bar area is basic looking which is exactly what the local customers want. How many times have we seen local pubs taken over by large chains, moderised and all the local ambiance lost forever. The Burghof is perfect for the community and I am sure that it has a wonderful future. When we visited with a large party of people the service was first class and the food was enjoyed by all, The extensive menu can satisfy every wish and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will revisit like a shot and my sports team has decided to visit for a snack and a beer after each match. Well done Burghof, the long history of excellent service in Fischeln will go on for many years to come.
