Dachsbau - Krefeld

I've been here a couple of times in recent years, always with friends and always had a great experience here. Last night I also tried the food their local speciality, Niederrheinischer Sauerbraten, is really good. The owner is quite a character, and it shows in...the queer design very oldschool, a couple of mannequindools standing or sitting around add a bit of a psycoflavour to the place and the lovingly created beer card, which contains a lot of explanations about each different brew, using cliparts and bits of information here and there, including a guide to the world of beer terminology. So, the beer... they have ! beers from tap, stored in three different coolingrooms underground each beer is stored at the right temperature. They have also an array of bottled beers, and the choice is wide and international. Every beer is served in the fitting glasskeg, with fitting coasters, and if you order a Pils, it will be cooled minutes in a special cooling chamber before being served. They also run monthly food and beer specials, in October it is of course Bavarian Oktoberfest. In short, the Dachsbau is the place to go if you want a real beer experience

Our social celebration of adult booked a large table for a meal drinks in dachsbau, where they have about beer from the barrel. at a big party it is in the regular the waitress that comes under pressure, with all the different drinks and meals in the evening's run. we were all sitting and with drinks at and after studying the menu that we all ordered although we had to wait one because to the meals we didn't make, we were for an evening of the conversation and reorienting so the time passed fast. the owner of the native came over and greeted us what we all appreciate. then came meal times and drinks were up, eating was really nice and everyone commented on the service and quality of the food. our group rated the evening very much and we will soon return to dachsbau for another pleasant evening.

Our social party of 13 adults booked a large table for a meal & drinks in Dachsbau where they have about 16 beers from the fass. With a large party it is usually the waitress that comes under pressure keeping up with all the different drinks and meals over the course of the evening. We were all seated and with drinks at 6.15 and after studying the menu we all ordered by 6.30. Although we had to wait a while for the meals we did not mind, we were out for an evening of conversation and news swopping so the time passed by quickly. The owner of the local came over and welcomed us which we all appreciated.Then meals came and drinks were topped up, the food was really nice and everyone commented on the service and the quality of the food. Our group rated the evening highly and we will return to Dachsbau again soon for another pleasant evening.
