A tiny take out place with a few counter seats but oh so worth the walk to get here! There is one vegan pierogi on the menu that is filled with lentils and was really good. They also confirmed when we asked that the dough was vegan as well as the filling in the cabbage and mushroom kind, so we had those as well. They had both cherry and strawberry pierogi too that we were told could be made vegan by leaving the cream... View all feedback.
Pyszne, przystępne cenowo, wegańskie pierożki z marchewką i soczewicą.
Pashne, indrog, pierożki wegańskie z marchewką i soczewicą.
Well worth the 15 or so min. Walk from the central 'rynek' area. Very small space - with seating for maybe 5-6 people. Most people come in, order something, go out and eat on the go. But the times we were here, we could also get a seat to sit within a few minutes. The selection of Pierogies, and without saying- they are quite authentic (we are in Poland, after all). Many vegan-friendly options available (fruit filling, lenses, spinach or others). The dough is vegan- as long as you get the filling properly, you will have a lot of vegan options to choose from. They also serve many other traditional Polish cuisine with some other vegan options (Barszcz for example (Beetroot soup goes brilliant with Pierogi). All in all, a small, charming place - with great food and even better prices (I think a plate of 10 Pierogi came to about 2-3 euros or so).
All I ate was vegan but I think that pierogi was better
So glad I found this place! A small take out counter for pierogis. They have one labelled vegan with lentils which was very good, and they have a cabbage and mushroom pierogi as well which they assured me was also vegan. I also had the cherry and strawberry pierogis which were delicious! They serve meat as well, but the dough is vegan so any of the veg fillings will be vegan. Absolutely delicious and incredibly cheap. I got three plates of pierogis and a bottle of water for around $25. if you're looking for authentic polish pierogi, this place is a must!
