Great restaurant to take the kids. The 3 step noodle.menu is easy for the kids. And the adults are left happy as well. Nice setting with the hanging lights etc. Would like to return and try their yum cha. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Noodle Hut Westfield Kotara:
Fresh veg was great, prawns were tasteless in the dumplings and packed out with brown rice to make them flavourless - not traditionally how they should be made. No idea whether the chef has changed but not as good as it used to be when it first opened. The chicken oyster sauce noodle was too salty - too much sauce. Satay skewers were good and also the chicken fried rice. View all feedback.
Visited noodle hut for lunch with my family, food was alright. The bar manager was disgraceful didn’t speak to us at all while serving us, only to then swear about a staff member twice around all of the customers including children, won’t be returning/ not recommended.
When we tried to customize our orders, we were met with resistance. I requested my mixed seafood stir fry without mussels and with kaffir lime leaves, only to be told that this was not possible as they did not have those ingredients. The staff even went as far as to say that they were not really an Asian cuisine restaurant, despite offering dishes like noodles, wontons, pad Thai, and dumplings. After much insistence, they reluctantly agreed to make the changes. The service continued to disappoint as our starters were just average and the main dishes fell short of expectations. The pork and prawn wonton soup was bland and unappetizing, while my mixed seafood stir fry had only a couple of prawns and lacked flavor. The chef's message that they do not usually accommodate changes was the final straw. Overall, our nearly $60 dining experience left much to be desired. My girlfriend even ended up with a stomach ache. We will not be returning to the Noodle Hut and would strongly advise others to steer clear. For a restaurant with a prime location and higher prices, the lack of attentive service, unaccommodating kitchen staff, and mediocre food are simply unacceptable. We regret not choosing the nearby Nando's instead. It was evident that at least some other diners had a more pleasant dining experience there.
We have been to this restaurant several times in the past but this visit was the worst and sadly we won’t be back , the service was very lacking , restaurant had only a couple of tables filled and with the three giggling gossiping waitresses the service was non existent. The main was plonked down on the table with the empty entree plates still there we had to ask to order drinks then ask again after 15 mins to order meals . No offer of more drinks or a desert menu . Four offerings of desert were met with no we have run out . The meal itself was not up to standard and we left more than half on the plates . Elsewhere next time
I have bypassed this place before thinking it is just a noodle joint. It is actually a very good Asian restaurant. A great selection of different dishes. We had the set menu for 2 which includes 3 different entrees and 3 different mains. No noodles to be seen. Fast and friendly service also.
Noodle Hut dumplings taste great. Service can be a little slow and it isn’t cheap compared to other yum cha but overall I like it and Noodle House is better than the dumplings available at Charlie Square.
