Initially, the visitors were told that their food could be microwaved. They chose their food duly paid for it; when they asked for the food to be heated up, they were told ‘no.’ When they then requested for a refund (while still at the counter), they were then told refunds were not available. The visitor ate his dish cold as he’s on a strict diet and needed to eat. When I approach the staff in a congenial manner, asking if there was a legitimate reason why they were unable/unwilling to heat the food, this rather harsh harridan rushed into the middle of our conversation to say “well, do you get your food heated up in a supermarket?” At this stage, seeing as she evidently had no insight into the conversation thought she could talk to others in a manner as rude as she was being without any accountability, I walked away. It was pointless trying to tell them that the visitors HAD been told their purchases could be heated up and pointless to say that the very least they could have done was offer a refund in the circumstances. Guys, it’s not rocket science that visitors will not know it is merely a ‘supermarket’ as it strongly resembles an eatery. It was unfair to not offer a refund and worst of all to be so unprofessional and rude, (the lady had dark red coloured hair and a very harsh manner). At first I thought she was young but noticed the wizened appearance of her complexion and realised she was older than she looked. This has completely coloured the view of the visitors of their view (joyful initially), of Kortrijk city. It was a dreadful experience and hopefully, never to be repeated as those reading this review will at least discover that it is a ‘supermarket.’
