The gyro plat... read more Rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars The Poseidon in Korbach scores with its rustic ambiance and classic Greek cuisine, but my visit was—let 's say— moving. The gyro plate tasted okay, but the Metaxa sauce deserves a special mention: a paste-like consistency with mushrooms that had probably seen better days. It tasted rather mediocre, but its effect was... lasting. About 45 minutes later, my digestive system made itself known—let 's call it a spontaneous colon cleanse deluxe. The service was attentive, but a bit overwhelmed—drinks arrived late, and overall, there was a lack of attention. At least: The staff was friendly, and the restaurant itself is certainly inviting—at least until the Metaxa sauce arrives. Conclusion: Certainly okay for fans of Greek classics with a strong stomach, but I 'll personally skip the sauce next time.
