What Nicholas doesn't like about Sunrock Corfu:
For location is hard to beat it has its own access down to an incredible beach. Just beware, it's a good 20min walk almost vertically down a hill to get there and I'm certainly not brave enough to try going back up on foot. I had a 8 person shared room so can only judge on that the beds were comfy but the showers were pretty grim. The food was fine but I'd suggest exploring other options. The staff were lovely though... This place is just amazing. I first visited in 2012, and had only booked for two nights. But I quickly extended it to a few more days because the vibe was just so so incredible. I met Madalena and her family on that trip, and promised I'd be back. So I went back in 2018 with my best friend for a week, and somehow Sunrock got better. We ate well, drank delicious wines, and enjoyed the hell out of the island. Again, I promised I would be back. And I went back in September 2023 with my husband and 40 of our friends and family to celebrate our wedding. Sunrock is such a special place, and is even more special because of the people who run it. The rooms are fantastic, the location is unmatched, and the view is unreal. You can visit Corfu all you want, but until you stay here, you haven't seen how beautiful the island really is. As long as Sunrock exists, I will always be a guest. Do the right thing and stay here! I loved staying at SunRock on my solo travels across Europe. The location is amazing with the beach literally on its door step. I ate at the restaurant here the whole time of my stay and it was really good. Just like the hostel, the restaurant is run by a loving Greek family who make truely authentic Greek dishes. The moussaka and the souvlaki plate are a must try. For someone who is travelling on a budget SunRock is truely the affordable paradise. I would 100% recommend this place and will be coming back!
