Cafe Arlecchino - Konstanz

Because of its very convenient location, we visited Cafe Arlecchino a few times. On our first visit, I ordered one of their parfait miracles. It was delicious with a little bit of misunderstanding. Since I don't speak German, and the waiter hadn't a perfect English, I rather showed my order on the menu card. That I wanted was caramel, and that I've got was chocolate. Not a serious problem, but I prefer caramel. On the second time, everything went smoothly. I ordered and had a big glass of ice-coffee with vanilla ice-cream. It was life-saving drink after a long walk. The service was fast enough considering the number of customers and their ice-creams, and parfaits are delicious.

We visited this café only for drinks but twice in three days. It is in the Augustiner Platz square behind the Rathaus. They mostly sell ice cream (at least in summer) but their beer is relatively cheap and my partner liked their cake. A good place to stop and not far from most of the main Konstanz attractions. We found the service to be good.

We headed to the cafe arlecchino for breakfast crepes and latte. Sitting outside in the sun, the friendly waiter spoke a little English. We ordered banana and chocolate crepes. They were served up quickly and were very tasty. Combine that with excellent coffee our day started well. Good price too. Keep up the great work.

This place seemed interesting as it has courtyard seating within the Augustinerplatz area. As I entered and approached the counter, there was a young girl there and she greeted me with a big friendly smile, so far, a very good start.An older man was behind the counter and approached and I asked if they served hot chocolate, he stated, ‘Yes’. I then inquired if this could be made with soy milk. He stated they did not have soy milk. The man then stepped back from the counter, turned his back to me and continued working at the back counter, this as I still stood at the main counter to order a different beverage and dessert. I could not believe he turned his back to me and then ignored me as I stood at the counter.So, let’s just say I left the business totally insulted and now I must express myself here in print as you really did not care about my business transaction. I could say that I wish your business to fail, but that would affect other employees, but you personally seem to have no desire to treat a customer with respect or respect them entering your business. You should seriously think about retiring and leaving the business to someone that respects the customer. The little young girl that was there has better business skills than you! It frustrates me to have to write a review like this, but this is my only option as you have no desire to listen to the customer.I will never return to your business. I will never recommend your business. Have a good day!
