Good selection of spirits. Sushi was all very good and good atmosphere and views. Worth noting that there are no real entrees here. Mostly just sushi/sashimi and apps. All of which are very good, but if you're expecting to see the entrees that you would see at a tradional Japanese restaurant you'll be disappointed. View all feedback.
What Dan Sutch doesn't like about Stevenson's Sushi Spirits:
We are staying at the resort and made our reservation about 12 days in advance of our stay. Based on reviews, we were really looking forward to Stevenson?s sushi. Unfortunately, the strong, fishy smell outside inside the restaurant put us off of, but we didn?t let it deter us. We had lobster dynamite, ahi, stevenson roll, and a couple other rolls. We requested all on soy paper but received them all with seaweed. Not... View all feedback.
Gorgeous restaurant, solid menu, and excellent food though I found the menu to be less expansive than expected. One point of annoyance was the awkwardness of staff interrupting our meal to remove plates, even though other diners at the table were still eating. That?s amateurish service and is out of step for a restaurant with Stevenson?s reputation and price point.
We had a reservation and were seated right away. Our server, Lisa, was polite and professional. She was very informative and made great recommendations. The sushi was amazing. The ingredients were chosen wisely to highlight the fish. There was very little use of heavy sauces and unnecessary garnishes (which can sometimes overpower the sushi). They were extremely conscientious regarding a food allergy and made sure to put us at ease by explaining their process of preparing the
Not too many reviews on google so we were not too sure whether we should go or not. The sushi was so nice, it felt fresh and healthy. The style and vibe was great too. Your water is filled up and the waitress was attentive. It?s a treat to go here but worth it. Plus the cocktails were pretty high end.
Its a beautiful sushi restaurant, pretty expensive, the kitchen closes at 9:30 so make sure you go earlier, the server wasn't really helpful explaining the menu ,but overall the food was delicious.
This is a must if you?re on Kauai! Amazing sushi and Japanese food and beautiful setting. Everything I?ve had here is delicious! My favorites are the sushi pizza (I know, it sounds weird), the lobster dynamite (try it with a bowl of sushi rice), and the black rock roll. The past couple times I?ve gone my server has been Johnny. He?s AWESOME! Super friendly and helpful, so if you?re able to request him, I?d definitely do that. We are so glad Stevenson?s has reopened!
