Merriman's Kauai - KOLOA

Merriman's is much better than the supposed sister restaurant Beach House, so if you can only try, I would recommend Merriman's. The crab cake is so-so (do not expect Maryland big lumps) and the salad is decent, though boring. The Deep Water Spot Prawns is actually quite good and you peel it raw, which is easy for me as Asian, but if you are not used to peel raw shrimps or to see the Innards of a shrimp, then I would recommend skipping them. Surprisingly, they have made a great task to grill swordfish that is difficult to grill without overcooking. The shrimps and scallops are good but not worth the price considering that they only give two shrimps equal to the seafood special, which also gives only 2 shrimps. Overall, I would recommend Red Salt for more innovative dishes and more attention to detail on the sauce. I like the service, although it's more like a good restaurant service, instead of a chic restaurant service. Mai Tai is better than many other places.

Eat a must in Koloa! The hotel is located in a beautiful open air restaurant in the cute city village. The views and the service are both unbeatable! The food is wonderfully fine food and worth the money. Your unique drinks are also a fun try. I recommend what her fish dish is of the day! Go!

So we knew to go to dinner, that would be a little more than our other meals. Let me say you get what you pay. Totally worth it! We started with the happy hour pulled pork quesadilla. literally fall pine. Hard to describe, but the balance of taste jumped into the mouth. They had a Lilikoi mustard sauce that was a perfect addition. All right. The Ceasar salad was excellent and somewhat different from others I had. Really fresh salad makes a big difference. The little things are really important. The only little thing off, and I mean, minors were a bit cold. They were still amazing and great, but would have dropped the microphone if they were hot. Think about a high-end version of your grandmother's homemade cookies. All right! I had enlisted the Mac nuts Mahi Mahi with rice, Laeks and a mushroom reduction sauce. One of the best meals of my life. Probably in my top 3 or 4 fish dinners ever. Perfect balance of taste that had me eating grunting with every bite. Words cannot describe how good it was. My wife has the act. I had a bite and it was just as good as my court. I don't just know because I tasted it, but she made the same sounds I was. Amazing! Unfortunately, we were full of Dessert. One of the best restaurants in Kauai and one of the best meals I've ever had. The staff was friendly, informative and helpful. Work very efficiently and hard. Amazing night in total!

Had an absolutely delicious dinner (as well as happy hour) that I will always remember! Beautiful surroundings, wonderful service and incredible food! We celebrated our anniversary and the staff went out of the way to make it a special evening. Very recommended!! Best dinner on the island!

Been coming here for years, it?s an absolute must for my family when we visit Kauai! The food is delicious, although a tad pricey, but that?s expected at a place like this. The ambience is lovely, and you have a nice view of both the ocean and the mountains. We always make a reservation, and have never had any issues with waiting or being treated badly. If you can only visit one restaurant while in Kauai, make it Merrimans!
