Superb! Quality same as we found during 3 weeks travelling around Japan. Great selection, fair prices. Friendly Chef as well! Even the Chickens tried stealing some while we ate at Shipwreck. They failed. View all feedback.
What David Constantine doesn't like about Big Monster Sushi Food Truck:
Food taste good and fish flavored well BUT when a portion called MONSTER bowl and you get tiny bowl maybe 4inch width) of poke for 15$. .... Left hungry even though added salad portion : View all feedback.
I would not be the one to try a food truck anything...until now. I wanted a poke bowl for lunch and the monster one didn't disappoint. I have to admit, my expectations were low and highlighted by the gorilla bowl not being available in Kaloa. However, the freshness of the fish was undeniable. I'm not sure the price was appropriate for what you are getting, but that's a common team of today's world. Overall, satisfied.
Great sushi from a food truck. There is a restaurant in Lihue but we were closer to the food truck location and it didn't disappoint. Anyone who has read my reviews on sushi places knows I am a bit strict when it comes to rice. This rice was moist and delicious. The classic tuna and salmon rolls were good as well as the salmon nigiri. We also tried the edamame and gyoza. Both were good.

Hardly would call this poke, much less rate it highly. I get better poke on the mainland for sure. Super small bowl and very little fish for $18. “Served on vegetables” is literally 3 cucumber slices and 5 edamame beans and romaine lettuce to take up space. Avocado was brown.Would definitely not go again. We went to Koloa Fish Market afterward to get our poke fix. There is no comparison. The fish was juicy higher quality and fresh fresh. The flavor was better, the sides were amazing.
This is great sushi at prices that are reasonable, which is a terrific combination on Kauai. I went with a couple of the classic rolls and they were wonderful. Highly recommend this stop!
