I think it's a great place for us, students from JU to just go there, chill and enjoy the food. You must try the chicken sandwiches, the pork platters and wai wai out there. Also, Amit Da, for the nice and kind hearted soul he is will keep you engaged with him throughout. We got hooked up on day 1 itself. View all feedback.
Visited the most happening food place in Jadavpur yesterday. This place has created quiet a buzz and now I know why. We tried the chicken tandoori kebab, pork salami sandwich and chili pork. The sandwich was fine and we had it first. I am not a big sandwich fan. But I liked this one and knew that the rest of the food will be awesome. The inside had a perfect balance of meat, mayo and vegetables and all of them together created a magic. The chicken tandoori is awesome. It is cooked on a grill in front of you and you can see how slowly the beautiful pieces are created. There is no added color to it which I think is an awesome thing. The pieces are marinated for 5 hours before the tandoori is done. The pieces are soft, juicy and succulent. Loved it. Also they serve it with fresh home made sauces The showstopper was definitely the chili pork which we had with egg wai-wai. The meat comes with both fat and lean meat. At many places, the lean meat feels a little chewy and tough. But here, it was soft and juicy. There was no smell and it smelled and tasted fresh. The oil that oozed out of the pork was awesome. It was not an oily oil (hope you understand what I mean and I loved adding it to the wai-wai. The sesame seeds added the right crunch. I loved the food for being fresh, tasty and not so heavy which is often the case in road side food joints. The owner is very friendly and seeks your feedback (he is a biologist and purifies the meat proteins perfectly . You must go here with some time in hand because food food needs time to be prepared. I will go there again and will try the other unique dishes available

The quality of food is great, better than many of the reputed cafes. Great place to hang out and spend time.
Khaibar Cafe is the perfect place to sprawl your exhausted self on that camp-bed they lay out for you while having a chit-chat with the Amit da dear as he prepares your order. I love the idea of the thatched hut on the pavement but am equally terrified of all the eccentric geese by the pond and my recently discovered rat in the trash-can. I've had a couple of platters (chicken and pork and also their sandwiches. There are some great offers, like the one on the slush and the mango and apple juice are yum too! :
