The Blue Door - Kolkata (Calcutta)

The taste is good but not perfect. The ambience is quite nice. So is the service. They have a great potential of soaring high, if only they would professionalize their techniques a bit more. One doesn't always appreciate an amateur hand when they are paying the same as they would have to for a professional cook.

Very cordial and welcoming staff. The ambience is also homely. An old house has been converted to a restaurant keeping the few ancient architecture in place. We had ordered for fish chips and something new called Mutton Greek Moussaka. Both were good but the latter was new to the taste bud and extremely delectable!
