What a fantastic find! We always seek out BBQ when we're traveling, and Hawg Heaven is undoubtedly the best brat we've ever tasted! The waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food came out quickly, piping hot, and absolutely delicious! We will definitely be back! View all feedback.
What S Stephens doesn't like about Hawg Heaven:
The experience was disappointing. Given the prices, I found the quality—particularly the use of Velveeta and jarred gravy—quite lacking, especially for a $12 meal. We ordered the Manhattan sandwich and a brisket platter, which had a lot of fatty meat. On the positive side, the service and staff were good. However, I wouldn't return or recommend this place. Wow, that's good bbq! had the 2 meat plate and all the time went back and forth trying to figure out what was better the pulled dick or the brisket before I knew that my teller was clean!
What a great sound! Honestly, the ripening were the best I ever had! they were so tender and cheap and fell off the bone. the baked beans, coleslaw and deviled eggs were all delicious! the only bad thing about this restaurant is that they are not in my city. If you are a native, you are blessed!
I have half the rack with cauliflower and cheesecakes. it was excellent! ripening fell from the bone! I'm out of the south and I've been looking for my new regular BBQ community! and you are! service was also great! fast, friendly affordable!
First and foremost the staff is amazing! Friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing! Tried the pulled pork and chicken. It's out of control. The baked beans are excellent. The sweet tea is succulent. Finally the BBQ sauce...lord have mercy! It is fire! Meaning good!, but they have hot version too.
Overall, this was a good restaurant, if you don't compare it to other places. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the place was very clean, and the price was reasonable. I had a brisket sandwich, and baked beans. The sandwich had plenty of meat on it, almost too much, if that is a thing, and it was most and flavorful.Unfortunately, I have to compare this to other barbecue. While the meat was cooked perfectly, as far as texture goes, it had no barbecue flavor. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if it were revealed that they cook the brisket in the oven, with no smoke. I didn't detect even a hint of smoke flavor. On top of that, I couldn't detect any rub used on the bark. Sadly, it was just beef I could taste. If they didn't advertise that their meat is smoked, it was an excellent brisket sandwich. They do say it's smoked though, so I can't give them credit. The baked beans were odd too. I swear they used pinto beans and white sugar, and not much else. Who uses pinto beans for baked beans? Anyway, while they didn't taste anything like any baked beans I've ever had, they were okay for what they were.If want something to eat, and don't care that it doesn't taste like barbecue, this is a great place. Otherwise, they are just okay.
