We have been in Phangan for a while and there is an incredible array of vegan options in certain areas, however, it is Carrot Cafe that remains our favourite as the quality and taste of their vegan options is incredible! They are not solely vegan but have many many options that are vegan or can be vegan they are very accommodating and know very well what it means to be vegan. I would come to this island just for this... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Carrot Cafe:
This restaurant is not vegan-friendly. The staff was unhelpful and did not understand vegan options. I was unable to find anything to eat here. I am not sure why this place is listed on Happy Cow. View all feedback.
I ate the hummus plate and the Cocoa nibs dessert. Both tasted good but not worth going there again. Paid 160 THB for that (about 5 which is middle class pricy for the island. I really didnt like the atmosphere at the caf. To me, the place is kind of steril instead of cosy. As there are so many more places that are cheaper, tastier and more cosy I cant advice you to go there if youre here for holiday.

I would come to this island just for this cafe!! The hummus plate, the eggplant toast, the oatmeal to name a few are 100% must haves!!
Perfect combination of taste, quality, cleanness and home atmosphere! Good choice for breakfast and launches. Lot’s of options for pescatarians and vegetarians.
Fully air-conditioned and cozy place with nice atmosphere. Serves some fish and meet, but menu is mainly vegetarian (can contain dairy product or sometimes egg) and some vegan dishes too. The daily special meals also can give you more choice. The soups are very tasty, especially Red Lentil, Sweet Corn soup and vegetarian version of famous Russian Borsch soup! The popular lunch option is Lunch Platter, guests choose one type of patty (cutlet) add two side dishes and can add any soup optionally. The desserts are amazing, delicious Carrot Cake full of carrots and nuts or homemade Yogurt with fresh Mango, and perfect Granola bars bond with bananas, yummy! This restaurant is a small and cozy spot with a homely atmosphere and welcoming hosts. The menu is limited but features traditional Russian dishes. The homemade bread is a stand-out feature. We have visited multiple times and plan to return in the future.
