Even a small electric heater didn't help. The intended high standard, reflected in the prices, should also translate into a return on investment in the upkeep of the premises. The restrooms, which in my opinion are the face of a restaurant, were also rather unappealing. The service (the men on the wait staff) was okay, but nothing more. Our request to exchange a side dish—within the options listed on the menu—was initially refused. Only after persistent questioning was it finally granted. There were no children's meals available. Flexibility in the interest of customer satisfaction was clearly not a priority. This should be a given in a restaurant that aspires to be upscale, at least in terms of price. On a positive note, the younger female server was a welcome addition. The group was seated separately, and the tables were a bit small for the number of people and plates on which the food and side dishes were served. The food was okay, but unfortunately, for the prices suggesting a higher standard, it fell short of expectations (the roast goose leg tended to be dry, the steak was far from the desired doneness—well-done instead of medium—the Wiener Schnitzel was okay, but far from the original, the potato salad tasted only of pickle, and the desserts were just okay). The presentation and, above all, the price level promised much more. Overall, we won't be coming back. Two stars because the ambiance and food were basically okay...but nothing more.

The restaurant was full, probably due to the pre-Christmas season. Nevertheless, the service was quick and attentive. Orders were taken without any problems. The menu is concise, meaning the selection is limited. I had a Wiener Schnitzel. The schnitzel was good, but I would have liked more side dishes. The fried potatoes and salad were served in a small bowl. The schnitzel itself was quite large. I would have been happy with a smaller schnitzel and more sides. But that's just my personal preference. All in all, a recommendable restaurant. The price-performance ratio is fair.

The entire team is incredibly attentive and friendly. Carlos and Marcella, in particular, guided us through the evening with their warm and professional service. The culinary experience was a complete delight: from the appetizer to the main course and dessert, everything was outstanding. The absolute highlight was the zabaglione, freshly prepared tableside by the owner herself! A truly special experience and a taste sensation. A thoroughly enjoyable evening: highly recommended for anyone who appreciates excellent cuisine, a stylish atmosphere, and outstanding service.

Since we meet annually for goose dinner, we chose Maternus this time and eagerly anticipated the festive and incomparable taste of goose and side dishes. Unfortunately, we have never (and certainly not for €45!! been served such poor quality goose and other dishes. The meat was stringy, tough, and, above all, completely tasteless. The food wasn't bad, but unfortunately below expectations for the price (the goose leg was dry meat, the skin was exceptionally good, the side dishes were okay, the dumplings were undercooked), the schnitzel and salmon were good, and the potato pancakes were delicious.
