Very good food, basic menu, but every thing was realy good. We have 3 different dishes and all.of them was good. Tip.. It locketed inside a senagoge so call before to check if open. Highly recommended and must come with Passport. View all feedback.
Being the only Kosher Restaurant in Cologne, This is what there is if you need Kosher food and are in the DusseldorfCologne area. I had a conference at the Maritim Hotel and wanted a Kosher lunch. I emailed Mrs Weiss a couple of weeks before...and she sent me the menu. I told her what I wanted, and when I wanted it and where it had to be delivered, and it was done. In the evening, I visited the Restaurant located in the back of the Synagoigue and had a nice evening meal as well. The waiter is friendly and helpful. Mrs. Weiss is friendly and helpful and the setting is clean and warm. If you are away from home and you need Chicken soup, Shnitzel and Chips and a plain dessert, you will find it here. Portions are large, prices are OK, service is good. Well recommended! Will definitely go back there if I am in Cologne again
Die Karte ist zwar recht klein aber dafür wurden die Gerichte frisch zubereitet und haben auch gut geschmeckt.

Being the only Kosher Restaurant in Cologne ( and now in the whole area - seeing as the Kosher Restaurant in Dusseldorf is no longer supervised), there is nowhere else to eat if you are an Orthadox Jew who has turned up for one of the massive trade fairs that are so common in the region of Germany. We were between 7-12 people each evening and I emailed through the week before to alert them ( this should be done). We started with a table of Pita Bread, Israeli salads, falafel , houmous etc. each night ( except for the last night when this was replaced with Smoked fish platter and cold cut platter). Some people then chose soup ( either Vegetable or Chicken + Matza Ball) - which is basically just a packet soup.Main course is the usual fare of Chicken or Shnitzel or Chicken Breast or Roast beef. Served with hot vegetables and either potatoes or chips. Good quantity, tasty but nothing fancy. We had Water ( still and Sparkling) on the table that was replaced by the waiter as the bottles were finished. We also ordered either Beer or Wine ( a few beers or a couple of bottles of wine). Dessert was either fruit salad, ice cream or hot chocolate cake.Overall, I was happy with this good Heimische food, in a pleasant atmosphere.Prices averaged about 40 Euro a head ( Starter, Soup, Main course, Dessert, Water/Soda + 1 beer/1 glass of wine and including the tip). I thought that this is a little steep...but as I said in my headline "Beggers can't be choosers"Will definitely go back there if I am in Cologne again.
