The restaurant keeps short hours, and you need to book when busy. Menu clever and modern, but good german-size portions and interesting deserts.

I stayed at the Falderhof. After a long day of travel and meetings, a simple and quick meal was what I was looking for. The lady who made my reservation (I was visiting a local company) said, when asked for a restaurant recommendation the hotel restaurant is very good but expensive . I agree on the very good, I 'd even suggest excellent; price was not high (total bill 50 euro, starter, main course dessert, two glasses of wine) in my opinion. The menu is only in German, I speak zero German. The waitress was helpful when I asked questions, I ended up with a soup and main dish that both were delicious. Both wines (a German white red) were good; the dessert a surprise and good too. Service was prompt and correct, I would return.
We went here with a small group of 6 for a birthday celebration on one of the first days after the covid restrictions were eased. The staff was delighted to be able to receive guest again and that was noticeable in the quantity of service and the food.The changes to the menu, more local, sustainable and healthy I applaud. The dishes look good with a small note on the abundance of different sauses , a bit too rich for my personal taste. The location is very quiet, an optimal place to spend a few hours outside to enjoy your dinner. With regards to the prices I find them a bit on the expensive side for what you get. I understand that sustainable, locally sourced costs more but even then the dishes feel a bit overpriced. A place to visit again for a romantic dinner or an escape of the city life.
Not the first time really that me and my business partner are spending few days at Falderhof, so it was not a surprise but this is the first note I write here about the wonderful food quality of this restaurant. Every dishes I eat there was superb, perfectly prepared. Excellent wines choice also. Service and kindness of the owner (a gentle woman who speaks perfectly in italian) are also top quality. Looking to visite them again in two years ! ciao.

Very pleasant and pleasant atmosphere of service was extremely friendly, the menus offered a good value for money and the selected wines were excellent. With a set: Thanks for the culinary Christmas experience.
A wonderful experience. I'm staying at the hotel and eating in her restaurant. Both have a very friendly and personable staff that is helpful. The food and the very clean rooms are top notch. Thanks Falderhof.
