First... read more While the location is lovely and seemed like the perfect place to enjoy a traditional schnitzel, my sister and I were very uncomfortable during our visit. Firstly we felt very rushed by the server and when ordering a bottle of water we unfortunately got sparkling. The bottle was already opened by the server and my sister noticed it too late after she poured the water into her glass. We hesitated to ask for a bottle of still water understanding the inconvenience but my sister did anyways.. It was no surprise to us that the server was very annoyed with our question and he had to mention that we had to ask for still water in the beginning. I get the misunderstanding but it didn’t feel fair to point it at us. We were ordering in ‘broken’ German since this isn’t or first or second language but wanted to show soms respect. He didn’t recall after our order if the water should be still or sparkling. Anyways, we got our bottle of still water. After paying 45€ we felt ripped off for SHARING 1 schnitzel with the two of us. Looking at the receipt there was a TIP added of 4€. I’m always very generous with tip but decided to do not so this time. I went back and asked (in English) for an explanation ‘it was for the kitchen’ he said in German. Not knowing what to reply I left and we took this visit as a loss. Hopefully our experience can spread some awareness to the restaurant and it’s visitors for a better experience.
