What User doesn't like about Tivoli Brasserie:
We were driving through Denmark and stopped to Copenhagen for two nights. Only thing we looked was a decent hotel with a pool. I thought we would get something better based on the reviews The room was small like Rome or Paris small. The pool dressing and washing rooms were ment for people and the pool is rather big. So it was a complete mess as there were people changing at the same time. Also the pool water was so f... View all feedback.
My sister and I visited the Tivoli hotel brasserie, there was not one vegan meal on the menu but the chef kindly made something especially, which was fabulous. The Rioja was amazing too. The experience was spoilt however as the service was shockingly bad. The place was virtually empty yet it took ten minutes to lay a table. In that time no one offered us a wine list or menu. Once we started eating, no one checked we were ok and were enjoying the food. When we wanted another drink I had to leave my meal to go to the bar and request one. At the end they they tried to charge 55 Krone for tap water. Then tried to over charge the bill by 200 krone in the hope we didn’t realise. The waiting staff were just waiting to go home. Will not return.
The room is huge, with all the comforts and full of light. The bathroom is very comfortable and well organised. I loved the wide time span for breakfast- from 7 to 11- and the variety and quality of the food. Also the distance from the railway station is convenient: it is one kilometre far, so if you are a good walker it won't be a problem. There are two restaurants, a bar and a brasserie inside. Unfortunately I didn't have the time to use the pool and gym, but they are very proud of it. I will have to go next time!
I'm a senior and stayed for 7 nights. They said they upgraded my room to a family room on the 7th fl. The room was ok but too long a walk down 3 hallways from elevator. I asked for a closer room and was given one on 5th fl. Front desk person asked if it was ok. I took a quick look and said yes, but after she left I noticed it had a shower not tub, the kettle looked corroded and room shabby. She said the 1st room was upgraded. I asked for it back. First 2 days housekeeping was ok but then after that each day something was wong or put out of place. One night a pillow was missing then I found out I could have had an ergonomic pillow. I did get it but disappointed I was not told that in the beginning. I forgot to take off Do Not Disturb sign and they didn't clean my room. I noticed others had a sign notifying them that housekeeping didn't clean but I never got a sign like that. I called front desk about minibar/desk not being cleaned and the Concierge (they were great! brought me cups/nescafe/tea bags. Then I was told housekeeping doesn't clean the minibar area that it's someone else. Breakfast was ok but I've stayed at 4 star hotels with nicer breakfasts not enough cut up fruit and you had to cut the rind from the watermelon and pineapple. I wanted to communicate these things to the General Mgr, but was told to write the front desk mgr, Luftu Mertcan. He attempted to call me after checking with others about what happened, but with time difference, etc. I missed it. I emailed and said it would be better just to email but haven't heard back. I agree with other guest about the smoking in front of the hotel. I'm allergic to smoke and there was no way to bypass it when leaving the hotel. Pool/sauna, Fitness great! But there was no water in the pool/sauna area. I had to exit the pool area, go through locker room out the door and then into the Fitness Center to get water. Most pools, hotel or not have water fountains by the pool, especially if there's a sauna. Front desk staff exceptional, as were the Concierge's.
Front desk and concierge were so accommodating. I had been traveling for a while and they helped me with everything from an early check in, to laundry service, bike rental, where to take the bike, where to get a massage, etc. I didn’t get the breakfast because I don’t eat in the morning, but it looked really good. I had dinner in the sushi restaurant one night and that was great and got a veggie burger for room service one night and that was also lovely. I usually stay in Airbnb’s and now I think I might stay in hotels sometimes. This was less than an Airbnb and offered so much.
Really poor service. 2 hours for a 2 course meal on my own. Had to get up and ask for a dessert menu and then return to the desk to order again.
