Hereford Steak - Koebenhavn

Good salad bar. Nice with handrail and gloves, it gives a little hygiene safety. We got mørbrad as we ordered well don. I should say it was. Almost impossible to chew in and crush! But potato and sauce were fine.

The restaurant was quite empty, however the service was slow.. Steaks were good, also the fish chips for the children, salad bar is nice, they actually charge 50DK for tap water carafe which was very odd.. When we asked about it (it wasn’t in English), they actually had to correct the bill to add another carafe So, in overall- it was tasty, but when you are not happily served in a restaurant and also get this surprise in the bill.. well, it makes the whole experience much less positive

It is always a pleasure being served a delicious steak cooked to perfection as you prefer, and my tasty beef filet steak (obviously from quality meat) was spot on! Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about my wife’s steak: Even if she herself looked up the problems by ordering a smaller tenderloin steak cooked medium/well done, it turned up VERY well done, dry and pretty bland. On the other hand, their fries are over the top: Big, homemade, crispy and hot, but I find it a little mysterious that there is no sauce included in the steak price, all sauces are extra! The restaurant is cozy, and the staff is nice and attentive, but a little on routine. It 's a shame that the kitchen doesn 't get it right every time, as Hereford Steak absolutely has potential to become a really good steak house!
