The views from this hotel are by far the best on the island. We had room 15 and it was spectacular. Not only were the views great but there was total privacy. The private beach is amazing as well. It's really easy to swim, snorkel to the little island across the way and there's so much to see. From the hotel, along the beach, is about a 10 minute walk to some restaurants and town. Serendipity is a collection of private wooden villas set amongst the hillside rainforest. Very secluded on a quiet beach cove perfect for swimming and snorkeling, and within east walking distance of walking street beach life. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good, and there was a good choice of food and drinks in the restaurant. The villas have a very natural wooden design with stunning views. The pool villas are even better with a small infinity edge plunge pool to soak in and enjoy the view. Plenty of bugs around so pack some repellent! Note: This resort is set on a steep hill, with many steps up and down from the villas to the beach so is not really recommended for visitors with mobility issues. Also not really designed for families with young children. Overall we loved the place. It’s got to be one of the best spots on the island.

This hotel has completely ruined my vacation. I suddenly discovered that despite the exorbitant price, this hotel only has a three-star rating. There is no children's playground and no public swimming pool. My five-year-old child could only spend their time being bored in the hotel. It's a disaster, the worst experience I've ever had. The next day, we quickly took a taxi back to the previous hotel to continue our enjoyment. I thought that such an expensive hotel wouldn't be so disappointing. On the first day, we chose another hotel that was only half the price but had a four-star rating. We came here with high expectations, but it only resulted in my child taking a nap at the hotel. If you're bringing small children, definitely avoid choosing this place. It's only suitable for adult entertainment. The beach is decent, but it feels very small, and the snorkeling experience is average.
Had a sensational stay at Serendipity. The location and service was outstanding. The team worked extremely hard to personalise our stay and to make us feel at home. The views are amazing and the small beach below the resort is the prettiest and cleanest on Koh Lipe. Rooms need some minor maintenance but are very spacious and comfortable. Climbing stairs (100 in total from our room to the beach) is part of staying at Serendipity so please consider if you have any mobility concerns. Overall a memorable stay thanks to the Serendipity team.
We stayed here for 2 days and everything were fine the views, the service, free taxi to the town and room service was okay until the check out moment! The problem was they accused us of drinking the beer in the fridge! The staff said that every room will have 3 beers in the fridge but in our room only had one. so they accused us of drinking one can of beer. The funny part is, they said that each room will have 3 can of beers but they accused us of drinking one can and not two can! Where’s the other one missing? the point is at least make sure your lie is relevant! Lucky, there was someone like manager help us. I don’t mind paying but I just didn’t expect something like this would happen in this kind of hotel! Why don’t you check first before letting us check in! I hope this will not be a problem in the future.
