The food here is delicious, especially for those who enjoy spicy dishes. The Angry Duck was fantastic, and the Pad Thai with chicken really benefited from the addition of some chilies. Just be sure to request medium spice unless you're ready for something much hotter! View all feedback.

Food is excellent. Massage not so ! 2 of us chose the Aromatic Oil massage but were not asked which one we prefer. there was a choice of 3. Day after we were both bruised on shoulder blades and very sore. Now need a physio to rectify. Specify....no elbows nor bending or twisting body in akward positions....before massage ! Yesterday evening (01/03/2019) my wife and I decided to try out Royal Siam Thai here in Knysna, based on reviews we had seen, for our last dinner as our holiday comes to an end. Having looked at Royal Siam Thai 's online menu, we were quite pleased to note vegetarian options. Being vegan and lovers of Thai food we are quite knowledgeable about ingredients used in Thai dishes which can be omitted from vegetarian dishes to make them vegan friendly; having eaten vegan at many Thai restaurants in South Africa and in Phuket, Thailand, both small and large establishments, as a couple we found Thai dishes very amenable to our dietary lifestyle. Hoping for a nice vegan Thai dish for dinner, my wife and I unfortunately had a surprising yet numbing experience at Royal Siam Thai. We had placed our orders for the vegetarian Vietnamese spring rolls, Tom Kha and Tom yum soups and two vegetarian stir fries and asked the waitress to please leave out any fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste and egg to which the waitress said she will indicate to the chef. Much to our surprise while waiting for our Jasmine Tea to arrive, we heard what looked like arguments between individuals coming from the kitchen. Of the three occupied tables in the restaurant we were the only table that had not been served. We heard someone complaining about our request to omit any non-vegan products from our chosen vegetarian order. We clearly heard the phrase: Indian.. You must go . A few seconds later we see a man of Thai ethnicity emerge from the kitchen telling us that he is canceling our order and that we should leave and go eat somewhere else as he can 't accommodate our request because Thai food can 't be made as per our request to omit the non-vegan items. It is safe to say that my wife and I were dumbstruck, shocked, embarrassed and certainly displeased having been asked to leave and go eat somewhere else. The utter lack of respect, hospitality and concern for persons who took interest in their restaurant spoke volumes of their service mentality and integrity as food service providers to their customers. You can be assured that as a Vegan, Plant-based or Strict Vegetarian, you are not welcomed at Royal Siam Thai.
First time having Thai food. Ordered curries and was not disappointed. Very well prepared, large portions. Will definitely visit again when in Knysna.
Bought from here several times and all i can say is absolutely amazing food, every single dish is authentic. Portion sizes are wonderful too. Not licensed but you can bring your own which is cheaper so who can complain. They happily stayed open during their closed for lunch hour to complete our order as we were driving back to plett on a time limit. Will definitely be back again..
