I visited for the first time, and I was blown away by the food! The Ruben sandwich was the best I’ve ever tasted, and the smoked potato salad was fantastic! My husband ordered a roast beef sandwich, and I couldn’t resist stealing half of it—so delicious! I requested that my sandwich be double-steamed, and they did it perfectly. We really enjoy Nixon's, but it seems they're closing more frequently lately. The Middlebrook location is often closed, and while their hours are posted on the website, they haven't been reliable. Last night, we looked up the Bearden location online, which indicated they were open. However, when we arrived at 5:10, the staff hurried inside and locked the door. Went here with my sister for the first time the other day. Great food and very friendly staff.
My first trip there and it was great! Got the steak in a sack and it wasn't greasy and taste very fresh. Got the smoked potato salad and OMG never had better!! Very friendly staff and a very clean seating area. Did I mention I have an amazing selection of desserts too?! Going back for sure!
Perfect poboys hot or cold made to order.. family owned and operated.. 5 locations and lots of homemade goodies as well as Stubborn sodas and tea! Super friendly and super clean! Love this place and open on Sundays!
First time visiting. Food was amazing! Best Ruben I've ever had and the smokehouse potato salad was great! My husband got a roast beef sandwich and I ended up eating half of his LOL. Asked to double steam mine and they did. We live about 45 minutesaway but I foresee this becoming a regular trip! Only complaint, they don't have diet coke LOL that's ok though, I'll settle fordiet Pepsi :
Outstanding service, Amazing sandwiches, Nixon?s is a Knoxville staple that always has the best. Make sure to try the homemade desserts!
