What Red S dislikes about The Barker's Brewery J D Wetherspoon:
Customers have already complained in the past week, about CCTV cameras in the men 's toilets, week beginning May 27th 2024, women 's toilets are closed, but CCTV has been installed in them too. I complained directly to the manager (the man with the dark beard) on the afternoon of May 28th. I said It 's a disgrace, it looks down on the boys urinal. His reply was What do you want me to do about it? I said Take it out,... View all feedback.

Came here yesterday morning for breakfast with my son who has T1 diabetes. I asked them he needed to wait 15 minutes before receiving the food and they were absolutely brilliant. Spot on 15 minutes the breakfast arrived. Customer service was amazing and the traditional breakfast nice and hot. Highly recommend.
Just back from breakfast. Great food etc loved it all. Staff very nice. More like your local than the nicer Spoons. Not disrespectful as this is worth coming to, another ticked off our list. Car park opposite is free for 3 hours. Great Spoons this one!!
Family arrived to celebrate my elderly Aunts birthday. All tables we had were pushed together. All with glass cup ring marks, tables were sticky and dirty. When I approached staff member, I was handed a antibac spray and a cloth to wipe them myself. I was not happy so the staff member just gave a few sprays, wiped the tables and left. All menu's dirty with brown sticky marks. I ordered steak kidney pudding, mash and peas. Mash wash a blob of instant packet mash that had been flattened down leaving fork marks. Crust was hard and peas were cold. I did complain and was given chips with a reheated pie and peas. Place was filthy, food was disgusting, staff not very happy when you disturbed their conversations asking for help. Aunt was 89 so travelling elsewhere was not possible at the time. I would have gladly gone somewhere else. Will never go there again, breeding ground for bacteria.
Food average typical of JDW drinks well priced, good atmosphere
Bacon was burnt pancakes are tasteless and shop bought and syrup was vile

A decent size wetherspoon pub with decent service. inside is light and airy with large windows to see outside and tables that fit. the usual menu you will find here with a good selection of snacks, meals, refreshments, spirits and ales. the personal was really friendly, there were many signs and plakate, the guests of the stretch and traces and other Covid-19 procedure informed. the seats were shielded for social distancing and an appropriate hands-on was available.
There are few establishments in Huyton that offer real ale, so steer clear of Wetherspoons and try this place instead. For fans of Wetherspoons, they have the usual amenities, well-maintained, but with a randomly selected selection of real ale as well as a great variety of other drinks. The pub food is decent but nothing exceptional, and all at reasonable prices. Their fish and chips are some of the best, with crispy chips and non-slimy cod. Parking is limited, but there are paid options nearby or a short walk away.
This restaurant is wonderful. It is clean and well-maintained. There was a bit of confusion regarding the government discount, but aside from that, the food was delightful and the staff were polite. Our server, Becky, was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us. She is a lovely person. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant.
