Panther Steakhouse - Knob Noster

This is a fantastic café in the town of Gar Noster. Even though they have a no smoking policy, residents should still show their support. It's unfortunate that some people have stopped coming just because they can't smoke, as they are only thinking of themselves.

First of all, I want to clarify that this is not a steakhouse, but rather a diner with vinyl-covered booths, counter seating, and lots of Coca-Cola decor. The food is fantastic and the service is good. Even though it wasn't what I was expecting, I would definitely eat here again if I were in Garden City.

First off, I want to mention that there was a help wanted sign at the entrance, and it seems like they really do need some help. My friend ordered a taco salad and fried okra, while I chose a roast beef sandwich with onion rings. I requested pepper jack cheese, but the young server informed me that they only had American cheese. During the 48-minute wait for our food, I overheard her telling the guys behind us that they had regular cheese and some white cheese available. Unfortunately, my onion rings were overly fried. I'm not sure if it was the server or the cook who needed assistance. I have worked in restaurants for over 30 years and have been dining out for 56 years, and I have never experienced such poor service before. Perhaps things would be different under different circumstances.

Amazing little place with great food. Reasonable prices and portions. Great staff as well. I plan to return soon.

Excellent service from the small town local waitress. Food cooked by the owners. I would highly recommend this little diner.
