Unfortunately, there are significant deductions regarding hygiene. There were traces of meat in and on the vegan cheese, and remnants of other ingredients were frequently visible in the containers. Additionally, stickers were peeling off the counter, giving a slovenly impression. The drinks fridge was barely stocked, and the cutting board at the counter had black grooves that looked very unhygienic. The food and service were good, but there is a serious need for improvement in cleanliness and hygiene.

But after my last visit, this was definitely my last. After a long wait, I ordered from a young man who barely spoke German. Among other things, I also wanted a salad with my subs, but this wasn't communicated to the second man who was preparing them. My subs were already out of the oven and sitting on the counter. After I told the employee twice that I had also ordered a salad (he didn't believe me), the salad was finally prepared. Then he started on the order of the customer who came after me. My subs were still sitting on the counter and had gotten cold. In the middle of the other order, he finally prepared my now-cold subs, so I went to the register to pay. He was typing everything in at the register, wearing gloves (even after the customer in front of me had already done so), the same gloves he was wearing to prepare the subs. The €3 coupon for the Footlong wasn't applied, even though he had confirmed it to me. Very disorganized and unhygienic. I'll definitely continue to avoid Subway in Kleve.
