We had excellent Yugoslavian food in this restaurant. The mixed Yugoslavian grill platter was delicious!

Outside it looks a little bit old, and inside its the same. But the staff and diner are the best! One of the restaurants I will go back several times!

Based on the reviews here on TA we decided to go check this place out. The food did not disappoint although the price/quality was not as super as other reviews here made us think. Salad from the salad bar was supposed to be included but as my wife (8 months pregnant) went a second time to have a little bit more, we later found out this was charged as an extra salad which we definitely did not expect after ordering the most expensive Filet steaks on the menu. This was for us quite a big disappointment that made us leave with a nasty aftertaste after a nice evening and shows a very short minded business approach of the owners. Especially of her condition and the fact that a tomato and some lettuce are not the biggest investments you can do in a customer relationship. Having just moved to Kleve and thus trying places out, trying to find a few "regular" restaurants to go and also take friends and family too, this one will not be among them. Its not about the 4 Euro extra on a night out but more the way u seem valued as a (new) customer. Anyway: We decided to keep the honor to ourselves and forget it, tip appropriately and share our experience here. Maybe a next time they will handle it differently.

The food is good with many selections. The service is good and prompt. The prices are reasonable. Easy access and parking.

If you like a lot of meat then the Steakhouse El Poncho will easily satisfy you. I was taken here with friends I was visiting. One of the group ordered a set menu meal which consisted of soup, main course of Zigoiner Schnitzel, help yourself Salad Bowl and a sweet. The whole lot only EU 8-90. Very good value. I ordered a filet steak with gorgonzola sauce and vegetables. Unbeknown to me when ordering I also got the soup and salad bowl. My friend had a large plate of various meats, steak, schnitzel, chops, bacon and sausages, he was hungry. (his also came with soup and salad. I had a beer and my friends had a cola-lite. The total bill came to just EU 56-90 so very reasonable.
