Nestled near Kittery’s bustling shopping district, Misto stands out as a delightful eatery for those seeking a fresher dining alternative. This family-owned restaurant boasts a charming atmosphere, complete with elegant décor and a welcoming outdoor deck. Diners can choose from a range of dishes, including enticing paninis and flavorful vegetarian options like the Mediterranean wrap. Guests consistently praise the attentive service and the chef's dedication to quality, exemplified in dishes such as the Four Cheese Ravioli and homemade crème brûlée. Misto promises a satisfying escape from the typical seafood fare in the area, leaving patrons eager to return.

We were in a rush, so we placed a takeout order at the bar. We watched the chef prepare our meals and he was very attentive, happily engaging in conversation with us as we waited. I don't enjoy spicy food, but he made sure to ask how spicy I wanted my meal to be. The food was tasty and satisfying. We were pleased with our decision to stop by and we look forward to dining in next time.

I ordered the zoodles entree and was very disappointed by the small portion size, which was too small even for an appetizer. I recommend going to another restaurant where you can get a full meal.

Tired of the abundance of lobster and fried fish spots? Misto is a hidden gem just down the road from the shopping hub in Kittery. Their tasty paninis, served with your choice of soup or salad, are the perfect stop after yet another shopping spree for clothes you likely didn't need.

It was the best of restaurants, it was the worst of restaurants. This is a restaurant with schizoaffective disorder. First, the handicap parking is convenient. We were able to park right next to the handicap ramp for the restaurant--see pictures. Second,we had one of our best meals here, which included a wonderful presentation and execution of seared ahi tuna, and a toasted, crunchy baguette with fabulous steak tips, cheese, and sauteed onions. The cocktails were excellent. We were so impressed withthe lunch we immediately made a reservation for dinner when we noticed Cioppino on the menu. Third, the monumental mood swing. The night of our reservation there were at least three dinner groups that never got their meals including us. It appears therewas some fracas between a waitress and the kitchen staff with everything coming to a complete stop. Conclusion, you'll noticethis schizoaffective swing from diners who have rated Misto a one star restaurant, and those who have rated it five stars. We'veexperienced both extremes in the mood swing, and so we felt it proper to rate it three stars. There is no doubt that Mistocould be a truly great restaurant. It must come to grips with its duality. Will we go there again? Yes; since this is the foodof our childhood, and it can be exquisite at Misto! we are drawn to it. We hope to find the best of restaurants when we goagain.

Food was delicious! I loved the marinara sauce, it was different than your typical marinara. Great atmosphere Victoria our server was wonderful!
