Lovebirds Donuts - KITTERY

These are some of the best vegan doughnuts I've ever had—you wouldn't even realize they're vegan unless someone mentioned it! I really appreciate that they change the flavors every month; it makes each visit more thrilling. Even though we live an hour away, we make it a priority to come each month to sample the new options. I highly recommend ordering in advance, as the flavors tend to sell out quickly.

I almost left because of the incredibly long line outside and my belief that no donut is worth waiting in a long queue. I'm so glad I decided to stay (and they move through the lines quickly)! We tried four different donuts: Boston cream, a lemon berry flavor, the jam of the day, and the old-fashioned. Each one was truly outstanding. The old-fashioned was my favorite, with the Boston cream coming in a close second, but I'd happily eat any of them again. I later discovered that they're vegan, which I had no idea about while enjoying them. Five stars well-deserved! And the coffee was great too!

The donuts here are absolutely delightful! I ordered a half dozen to share with my co-workers but couldn’t resist trying a few myself. The standout for me was definitely the peach jam donut—it had just the right level of sweetness, plenty of filling, and a delicious crumble on top. It's hard to believe these donuts are vegan! My only minor issue was with the chocolate strawberry filling; it was meant to be a whipped mousse or cream, but I found it a bit too oily for my liking. I can't wait to return and try next month's flavors!

These donuts are absolutely incredible! We drove all the way from Massachusetts on our way to Acadia just to get some, and I'm already planning my next trip just for these donuts. I can't say a single negative thing about this place. The staff is extremely friendly and fantastic, and the coffee is equally great. Even my non-vegan partner loved them, and he's usually quite picky about vegan food. Thank you for being amazing, Lovebirds Donuts—I’ll definitely be back soon!

Wow, this donut shop is fantastic! We loved the decor, and the layout is excellent. There are plenty of seating options to enjoy your donut with a cup of coffee. The variety of donut flavors is impressive, ranging from creative options to classic favorites. There was a steady flow of customers during our visit. This place is definitely worth checking out; I highly recommend it!
