When I called, the person who answered was quite curt with me and put me on hold to discuss my inquiry with a colleague. I could overhear her saying, “There’s a girl on the phone wanting to book her wedding for NEXT YEAR.” She eventually transferred me to someone else who recommended I call back later. When I did call again, the same situation occurred, but this time I was told to send an email instead of speaking to someone directly. I sent an email detailing our wedding plans and what we were looking for, but I didn’t get a response for two weeks. Despite the delays, I decided to schedule a tasting. When we arrived, Kate informed us that someone had called in sick, and she offered us two types of cake, a bite-sized fruit tart, and a cannoli—those were the only options available that day. We didn’t get to try a variety of cakes, and she frequently left to attend to other matters. Ultimately, we chose to go with another bakery.

We also ordered mini desserts for our rehearsal dinner, which were outstanding. I highly recommend Kate's Bakery and Cafe for all your dessert needs!

We live in Boston and continue to make the trip to Kittery for our special occasions (including gender revealcupcakes as there really is no one better than Kate!
