We have ordered takeout a few times from here and usually get the dinner for two A and add on the general Sao chicken. The most recent visit seemed to have a lot more batter on the chicken for the general Sao then chicken. Also there was a lot less chicken in the chop suey. The egg rolls are pretty good. The chicken balls are delicious.Would recommend going here for some decent food. They are super fast at prepping. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Peking Gourmet Chinese Restaurant:
They advertise that if you pay cash you get a free appetizer. Well my wife went in with a debit card as opposed to my rewards credit card. They weren't going to honour their advertised deal.( a big argument ensued - $48.00 mael)The girl at the desk was rude bordering on obnoxious. My wife should have used my rewards credit card - but she was insulted beyond repair. The food is "OK" but there is another Chinese place... View all feedback.

The food is "OK" but there is another Chinese place nearby and they will get business going forward to the owner - you should fire your desk girl before she drives away all your business
I've eaten at the Peking Gourmet on 3 occasions - most recently in May 2016. The food itself is quite good. I've always found it quite tasty, and it's always been hot (temperature). 2 of my 3 visits, I dined in the restaurant. While the food is still quite good, there is limited service provided. Sure, the food is brought to your table, but you need to get your own plastic cutlery and condiments. (bring your own cutlery if you don't like take-out plastic LOL). The table that I sat at hadn't been wiped down after the last customer, so it was in need of a little care as well. Dinner is served to your table in the takeout container... I guess the good thing about that is it's already packed up if you can't eat it all! My take out experience was fine - and on my next visit, I'm pretty sure that's the route I will go.
On a whim I stopped in to have lunch. I bought the combination plate General Tao's chicken chicken balls and fried rice. Overall very satisfied with the food, not the best I ever had but certainly not the worst. Value or $ is good service a little bit sketchy.
Great value for the price! Not the friendliest place, but it's really all about the food (get the take-out). Recommend the beef with broccoli or chop suey.
We wanted to eat inside thinking since they had tables we'd be waited on. I had to go to the counter and get the menu, then go back to the counter to order. We asked for plates, got paper plates instead. So this restaurant obviously is more of a take out than sit in. So why do they have quite a few tables then????Food was OK but I think I was put off my the fact we didn't get proper plates plus fork/knive instead we had to use paper plates plus plastic fork/knife. Service wasn't the greatest. I'm not a fussy person and take things with a grain of salt but I was disappointed here.Took the food home for leftovers. The sweet and sour chicken balls was good, the lo mein (thick noodles) was too much sauce on. Vegetable lo mein was OK. I'm not sure if I'll go back, maybe just for take-out but I think it'll be a while before I return.
