Have never had Hot Pot before, and certainly enjoyed my first experience. Informed the woman who sat us, they we had never had Hot Pot before and she went our of her way to explain everything..cooking time for all the different meats, noodles etc. and also how to make the dipping sauce based on our desired level of spiciness. She came and checked a number of times to ensure we were enjoying our dinner and to see if w... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Leung Yue Hot Pot:
was a disappointing experience looking for a good hot-tank location and was pushed aside throughout the time. put behind a wall that is not spoken to except me to say where to sit. had no service just given the food and left alone had to ask for a drink after the testifying dozens of first-class service for others very disappointed. Was going to give 1/5 cuz you hav to wait forever to actually have the food, and service sucks.
A place to go to if you want to get yelled at by waiters when ordering more food: _)And when you confront them asking why did they yell, they said that's
I was so disappointed by the customer service. The owner and his son or whom ever the server was was incredibly rude, no smile and didn't eve care about his customers. We had asked to be switched to a bigger table because the one he gave us was too small for 7 people, he seem really irritated and hesitated to give us a table, talk about bad customer service. I. Would care less if the food is good, if customer service is horriblethen that's ruins everything. I suggest the whole family should take a course on courtesy and better customer service, can't believe they would even open up a restaurant, maybe they should first understand what good customer service is all a out. Terrible owner, all he cares about is getting money from people once u step in the restaurant. If you expect good customer service I would definitely not recommend this place at all. I personally would not step foot in a second time. Appauled by their rude see vice and seems !like the owner had no manners what so ever. I would not even rate this restaurant, it is beyond terrible.
The owner is super friendly and enjoys meeting new people. We usually just go with the meat all you can eat, but they have a meat and seafood option as well. All their meat balls and fish balls are home made and they always have fresh produce. Their beef slices are out of this world, dip it in their satay sauce and you don't want to stop eating! Once you get to know the owner better, he would bring you a plate of their amazing home made shrimp balls on the house. What else? Noodles, just try them all! Try everything! You won't be disappointed. Just don't go too often if you don't want your waistline to grow exponentially!
I have had Japanese style hot pots at home but had not had a Chinese style. They basically bring out the food that you put into the boiling water but do not talk to you... (I wasn't sure what to do with the egg as in Japanese style it is eaten raw as part of the dipping sauce... I later checked it out on line and found that you are supposed to crack the egg into the water and do similar to a poach (without the vinegar).) The food is good, the meat/seafood is fresh and the sauces were good. If you are not Chinese, they will not interact with you so if you want good service then this is not the place for you... It's basically cook your own food, eat, get out... :D This is also not the greasy "Canadian-ized" version of Chinese food... so if you are trying to eat healthy then try this... The portions are also a good size for $14/person.
