Inakaan Kokura Honten - Kitakyushu

It is a bit expensive, but it offers very traditional and high quality food. Many Japanese celebrities enter the restaurant when they come to Kitakyushu.

Exceptional service and exquisite dishes make this a must to visit for any unagi lover. The Unaju is fantastic. The sauce is rich, but not overwhelmed the aromas of the grilled Unagi. The restaurant is well known and reservations are recommended. The upper floor offers private table seats for more formal business dinners or private restaurants.

We didn't know where to find this place on Google Maps. It is beyond our expectation and some. As you can see on the picture. There's no trick, it's just on rice with perfection.

Really good unagi don, soft, flavourful, yet the edges are slightly crispy. Goes really well with beer or cold sake. Crowded place, seems to attract quite a few out-of-towners. Comfortable seating. Quick, friendly service. English menu available though a bit confusing, ask for the one with pictures to avoid misunderstanding.

Close to the train station. For people dont know Japanese, there is English menu. Recommend to try seiromishi, which is eel with steamed rice in special meal box.
