Drinks side items were completely over priced. Side items were extremely small. If you pay for a steak, the restaurant keeps squeezing the customer for more. Iâm not going back. View all feedback.

Have been going to this hotel for conferences pleasure since it was owned by Gaylord and not a Marriott. Big difference you are now just a corporate customer not a preferred guest. Pros: parking garage to keep car protected from Florida heat As a Floridian totally enjoyed the cool air in the Atrium, was a pleasure to wear long pants and long sleeve shirts (mandatory to pack) more casual food options Breakfast Buffet is still impressive access to Water Park for guests is complimentary Crystal River Rapids pool is as stated rapids not a lazy river lots of fun nightly light show is entertaining Cons: regret purchasing Romance Package overpriced bundle, not worth it, would purchase ala carte services next time, i.e. hotel room, champagne, spa services, meals promised Champagne (small split bottle) wasn 't delivered for two days even though promised in an hour at check in, reminded them twice, showed up at 5:00 PM on second day of stay spa 20% discount included in package was offered free on a flyer in the room 175 with discount for 50 minute massage overpriced but exceptional spa experience what happened to the guest robes in the room????? None! The Sandbar Pool Bar Bees all over the place hazard need to spend some on pest control its a liability. 65 for two drinks and nacho chips. Moor Restaurant (the boat) bar on the boat is gone has moved inside behind the boat, be aware of menu changes if on restricted diet. Miss their crab cakes the whole reason to eat there! Old Hickory Steakhouse closed, under construction until November very noisy in Atrium 37.63 parking fee should be free for hotel guests or at a minimum 10 Will go back as its always an enjoyable experience to be so cool in the summertime. However, lesson learned will be more discerning in my choices next time.
Gaylord has always been our favorite Orlando hotel. We have stayed at the hotel around 5 times. When we entered our room I had a partial atrium view. I paid extra for a full atrium view. The only reason we stayed this time was for a full atrium view. Then we were unpacking one of the drawers had clothes and a vape pen from the previous guest. So I immediately called the front desk. No apologies from them.” We will send security up to remove the items.” He apologized. We said we were concerned wether the room had been cleaned. He said call the front to see if we could change rooms. Because it was late I called in the morning and voiced my concern about the cleanliness of the room and that I did not have a full atrium view. Again the only reason we stayed. They could not assist me with what I wanted. Our room key never worked for entering or leaving the parking lot. We always had to have assistance. The beds were like sleeping on a board that had a plastic sound every time we rolled over. Not the typical comfortable mattress of Marriott. I asked for a late check out only a couple hours) again denied. As a gold elite I’ve never been denied. I love Marriott but will never stay at was once my favorite hotel
Their security procedure and lack of communication about a situation in the hotel (still not sure what happened) caused mass panic and for all of my coworkers and I to believe there was an active shooter. They didn’t let us enter the hotel, so we had to stay out in the open at the pool. Once they did let us in the hotel, no one knew what the situation was and their plan was to just put us all in one room. It’s a nice resort, but that experience put a huge damper on our whole stay.
Stayed here for 2 days with 2 kids (9 &12). Pros: Lots to see indoors if you want to beat the heat Excellent lazy river that doesn’t get boring Different pool areas so you don’t feel crowded Hotel was easy to find Amazing food truck place 5 min drive from hotel Plenty of other food places off site very close by Cons: Self parking is confusing to find and not that close to the hotel Way too many pool chairs marked as “reserved” I get that they make money for these “premium” locations but they took up way too many of them and most weren’t even ever used. Having to make a line in the morning to get a wrist band to enter the pool area is annoying. Wrist bands should be given at check in like other waterpark hotels. Check in was not properly staffed. Only 3 people available to help with many standing in line. This is not the service I’d expect from a hotel of this caliber We did not eat at any of the on site restaurants but the one that has a buffet you need reservations for. There is a coffee shop that has pizza and chicken tenders you can grab and go as well as random snacks and pre made sandwiches. We did see several people ordering food delivery so that’s a plus and a decent option. If you don’t want to do the parks but want to stay somewhere fun with kids this is a great option.
The amenities at this place are great. The pool/water park is fun for kids. The common indoor places are beautiful. The rooms need to be updated and cleaned better. Our room had a slightly foul odor and there were hairpins on the carpet and trash near the bedside table. I liked the balcony from the room and the food at most of the restaurants.
