To be honest, we're there for the view every time. It's right on the water and the view is so relaxing and beautiful on a warm sunny day! It's next to a park which is good for taking a walk after your meal too. The food is really average. Portion is not too big either. Not many choices but good enough. It's pet friendly so you can see a lot of cute dogs while enjoying the brunch. View all feedback.
What HurricaneMeow doesn't like about Foy's Kirribilli:
I been wanting to dine in this restaurant as I always walk past there. Got there 11:55am in the UPSTAIRS dining area n wanting to order n the waiter said they only open at 12 and refused to take my order. I saw 2 ladies sitting at the terrace drinking wines already. Such bad service and inflexibility- I walked out, didn’t bother to help those small cafes with attitude. During this COVID pandemic period where many bus... View all feedback.
What a fantastic remodel of the old club restaurant and well worth a visit.Excellent venue for lunch or dinner, professional and friendly staff, fabulous food and great atmosphere topped off with stunning water views. I highly recommend locals and tourists/visitors alike to try this venue 'you won't be disappointed'.I'm looking forward to my next visit!
We went to FOYs with 4 kids and 3 Adults, from the moment we stepped in we were greeted with such warm adoring service from the Manager Remo he was simply sublime, showing us to our table on the balcony over looking the harbour. ( Amazing view ) We started with a cheese board and zucchini flowers and antipasto plate and all magnificent. Specials there were mainly fish but my god the best baby snapper I have ever eaten. All in all the experience was fantastic. I highly recommend the Holm Oak pint noir wizard wow then a ballsy Robert Duval shiraz hard day all in all well done FOYs
We came here on a Sunday night and had beef cheek, barramundi, calamari and arrancini. Nice atmosphere, good waiters and tasty food but the band playing in the night with the lady singer she was good but a bit difficult to talk because of the noise.
Such a pity the waitress wasn't as good as the view! This is a lovely spot, with a balcony overlooking the marina and just next to the Ensemble theatre ... food use to be fantastic here years ago then under new management it really went down hill but up in price and now with the latest changes the food is quite good again, still overpriced, but depends on what you order. Last night I had the beef cheeks which to be fair were very well cooked but not very hot and though I'd asked for a substitute for the oyster mushroom ( being allergic) there was no other element added . 'with Brussel sprouts' meant one Brussel sprout... the smallest I've ever seen, cut in half and placed one half on each side of the plate - wow! This isn't a fine dining episode of a reality cooking show it is a restaurant within a sailing boat club! When I questioned this I was told 'well it is the end of the week' - my goodness what a reply! Very disappointing. Last time I dined here I had the barramundi and it was lovely but very small serve. A friend had the coconut lamb shanks and that was a good sized meal which she enjoyed. A bit hit and miss - think I'll give it miss from now
Went there for lunch on a Sunday. Gorgeous setting right on the harbor, but the food was average and the service not great. I had the fish and chips which were great but my boyfriend had the steak which was very fatty for a scotch fillet. We waited nearly an hour for our food, which was fine as the setting was so nice and we weren't starving , but it would have been nice if it was a little quicker. The one thing that really bothered me was that we were told on our way out that our dress code was not acceptable for the restaurant ( we had biked there so were in t shirts and shorts). I wouldn't have minded so much if we had been told as we arrived but I thought it was a little rude to be told that after spending $150 there. Anyway as I said, positives and negatives
