We were the only people in the pub so they weren't busy however we were only give 2 napkins for a family of 4 to start with. Then we had a problem with one of the meals and I'm guessing it was the manager who came out and said that this was how it was served, when asked if we could have a full steak they said no as they only serve it in slices, now I have never been anywhere that serves a steak in slices but when asked if we could have a full steak to be refused this is really baffling! Honestly what difference does it make to serve a full steak rather than have it cut up?. Then for 3 meals it cost nearly £70 it's unbelievable no wonder there was noone in there on a Saturday night.

Food is excellent, freshly cooked and comes with good quality vegetables...as it is fresh, expect a little wait. Pudding choice is great too. Plus at the moment mulled wine is on offer...I didn't try it but may call back in just for a drink.

Followed by the homemade steak pie, again delicious. Could not fault the service or the food. Would definitely call again next time we are in the area.

The fish and chips were delicious and the chocolate cake was amazing. The portions were very generous, leaving me too full to finish the cake.
