The Huntsman Inn - Kirklees

WOW first time ordering today was absolutely beautiful. I had the roast pork and everything........ vegatables mash roast Yorkshire meat was outstanding. Thank you so much and will be ordering again x

I haven't visited this restaurant in a while, but I decided to have dinner with my family because they were running a promotion. The food was good, the atmosphere was pleasant with stunning views, and there was ample parking. What really stood out was how polite and accommodating our server was, making it a very enjoyable experience.

Pre booked a table via e mail which was a good job as it got very busy, even reasonably early on a Friday evening. Parking a doddle and we were even allowed to leave our car there while going to a rugby game at Dewsbury Rams down the road. Food was real home cooked fare and cooked to a tremendously high standard. Beef cobbler was incredible the beef was cooked perfectly, two huge cheese scones, creamy mash and a huge pile of veg. The liver and onions was rated similarly highly. Will be back the next time we’re in the area!

We had a fantastic experience at The Huntsman on our first visit and will definitely be returning. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, the views were lovely, and the staff were incredibly friendly. A perfect 10/10. Thank you.

My wife and i have been visiting with friends who live locally for around 20 years usually on a friday evening for drinks.For the last couple of years we have noticed a lot of the regulars dont go in anymore and the standard of service has dropped.our last visit (4/10/19) will be our last as things had gone from bad to worse,tonic for G&Ts out of a litre bottle that had been in the frdge for a week or more which was as flat as a fart,ran out of other spirits,then being refused to be served before the barmaid had called last orders which she didnt bother to do anyway.once a great pub not anymore.
