I made a reservation at this restaurant for a group of friends reuniting after some time apart. Our table was located in a spacious corner and was beautifully set up for us. The afternoon tea offerings were tasty and the portions were quite generous. There was a wide variety of treats available and the tea and coffee were constantly refilled as needed. What Kate256028 doesn't like about The Dancing House:
Great little place to take the kids for breakfast. Very child friendly. Lovely atmosphere. Food was nice, did come out slowly, my husband had finished his just before my food arrived. One waitress a bit overbearing, she asked my child what was wrong with his food as he wasn’t eating, He’s a faddy eater at the best of times and the lady wouldn’t let it go. Would defintley return again View all feedback.
This restaurant is absolutely beautiful. They offer afternoon tea for both adults and children, with the food being served to the children before the adults. This was a big hit with most parents. The food was exceptional, with little details on the children's afternoon tea really making my daughter's day. She enjoyed cakes, fruit, salad, and sandwiches, as well as a variety of sweets displayed around the plates. The sandwiches for adults were delicious and served with salads, including tuna, cheese, beef, ham, and salmon with cream cheese. The homemade coleslaw in shot glasses was a nice touch. The attention to detail was fantastic, with a large cafetiere of coffee and a tea pot with quality tea bags. The accompanying cakes included lemon drizzle, coffee and walnut, and chocolate brownies, along with the largest, tastiest scones. The clotted cream and jam were plentiful and delicious. The price was reasonable for the quality of food we received. This visit was for my mum's birthday and she was very impressed. The outdoor area is perfect for children and I would definitely visit again.
My friend and I enjoyed a delightful breakfast last weekend in the garden at the rear of the café. The service was superb and the menu had a great selection for both of us. The presentation and taste of the food were excellent. We will definitely be returning and highly recommend this place to others.
What a find! Tucked away, as part of a dance school (opened in 1910), this cafe has a wonderful “homely” atmosphere. The food is delightful and the service is amazing. I can think of no better place to while away an hour or so on a lazy Saturday morning.
Called in here on Sunday morning and had an absolutely fabulous breakfast in the sunshine in the garden. The produce is top class, the bacon and sausages were really good quality and the poached eggs were perfect.
Called here for lunch with our son and two grandchildren. We sat in the garden so that the children could play. Our food arrived very quickly, was delicious and very reasonably priced . I told the young lady serving how much we had enjoyed our lunch and her service. She obviously went straight in to tell the lady who had made the food and she came out to thank us for our comments.
