Lindley's cafe offers a warm retreat from the rainy weather with delicious soup and paninis, providing good value for money. However, the lack of indoor seating and rude staff have left some visitors with a negative impression. The cafe is praised for its cozy atmosphere, friendly service, and good quality food and drinks. Lindley's is a popular spot for breakfast and lunch, though some areas for improvement have been noted. Overall, it's a quaint cafe worth a visit for a pleasant dining experience.

Was sheepygold at Lindleys Cafe a mag?
I stopped by this cafe while visiting the hospital nearby. It's a cozy spot with seating upstairs that is larger than it appears. The coffee is good, the cakes are delicious, and the staff is friendly. View all feedback.

What neesy ben dislikes about Lindleys Cafe:
we were in lindley for a hairdresser visit, the weather was awful. we decided to have lunch while the weather [hopefully] improved. we took the two easy chairs by the window in the warm dry. hubby chose soup of the day, which was butternut sweet potato, served with a generous helping of french bread. i chose a bacon/brie onion chutney panini with salad. we had a coffee tea respectively for our drinks. hubby loved the... I visit this cafe regular with residents I look after at the dementia home I work in. They are always so friendly and helping in any way they can to give our residents the best service when there. If I ever want to go all i need to do it ring and reserve a couple of seats on the ground floor. Fantastic place with fantastic staff

Not a nice experience, have been coming here for years, firstly there was nowhere to sit indoors (this was not the issue) so we asked to sit outside, there were no outside facilities which was fine (as it had been raining earlier so was understandable) but the young man who was working just plonked an old wooden table in the middle and said there, you will have to get your own chairs not very welcoming. The table was wonky so we asked if we could move it, he moved it (under duress) but not very well then stormed off and shut the door on us. The young man was very rude throughout our stay and he definitely needs to learn some people skills!! Is he aware he is working in a hospitality environment and needs to be polite to customers, we were very polite to him regardless. Won 't be going again sorry!

I’ve been to Lindley’s Cafe on 2 other occasions 1st time my husband I had an all day breakfast which was very nice. On the 2nd occasion my cousin and I decided to go as I recommended it for a coffee and cake when my husband was in hospital. Today, we travelled from Brighouse to go there specifically. What a big, big mistake we made. My husband ordered, scrambled egg on toast with a very small piece of salmon. I ordered the Welsh rarebit, added the ham mushrooms as extras. The drinks were both OK, although the pot of tea didn’t come with hot water, as is usual with a pot of tea in any cafe. Our meals arrived with not even a smile, just mind it’s hot, no niceties. The ham was on top of the so called Welsh rarebit, then a pile of black slimy mushrooms on top. When I tried to eat it, the bread was soggy NOT fully toasted only one side, the mushrooms did not taste good at all. I asked my husband to try one to see what he thought, he also thought they tasted bad as well. I told the waitress I couldn’t eat the mushrooms they didn’t taste right, so she took the plate back downstairs. My meal was returned with just the ham on top, again I was told it was hot. When I tried to cut it I could see the bread was so soggy underneath was absolutely disgusting, it was obvious the mushrooms had been removed and the remainder re-heated in the microwave. I called the waitress over said I’m sorry but I just can’t eat this I don’t intend to pay for it, she apologised. She looked very uncomfortable asked if I would say that tell (her)? when you go down. So I politely told (her)? I’m sorry I won’t pay for mine as I didn’t eat any of it. She said fine, took my husbands money then once she got payment told us ‘and don’t bother coming back, because if you do you won’t be served’, as if we would want to! She completely lost it, shouting at us, saying ‘we were ripping small businesses off’. How this woman has stayed in business so long is a miracle. A lot of things are bad now after Covid, but this place has gone really down hill, it looks grubby the storage heater near our table had food or drink splashes, not clean. It was very cold a family on the next table left as the lady said she was too cold. If you go there, you’ll be OK as long as you don’t complain, but watch out if you do lol. I said to my husband, ‘perhaps it’s under different management’ as it used to be nice really not good now. That wasn’t actually the end of the story though. As we left crossed the road to the car park, the woman ran out and started either videoing or photographing us. Goodness knows why, very strange woman. I decided to look at some reviews it does appear the women told another customer the very same. Not to come back. News flash, don’t worry there’s … NO CHANCE!!!
