Café Express has become a focal point for diners, drawing both praise and criticism. While some patrons praise its affordable prices, generous portions, and friendly service, others lament the quality of the food, describing dishes as poorly prepared and overpriced. Complaints about disinterested staff and unappetizing meals, such as dry ham and cold, flavorless Yorkshire pudding, are common. Despite the negative reviews, many still enjoy satisfying meals and a welcoming atmosphere when the café is not too crowded. With free WiFi and daily patrons, its charm remains undeniable, though diners are advised to manage their expectations.

Was Paul Palmer at Cafe Express a mag?
We called in here looking for a cooked breakfast and the place was busy with customers. I ordered a small cooked breakfast and a milky coffee. The food was great and well priced. There is an extensive menu of food and the staff are friendly....Would highly recommend. View all feedback.

What Sonia Walker dislikes about Cafe Express:
The ham was dry, the corned beef was not properly chopped, and the carrots appeared to have been roughly sliced. It was the worst meal I've ever had, and it was overpriced. The staff seemed disinterested. View all feedback.

I visited Huddersfield for the first time since March and was impressed by the free and clean bus station toilets maintained by the amazing employees. Determined to have lunch at Cafe Express, I found the COVID social distancing signage a bit confusing but managed to order a jacket potato and toastie which were nicely cooked and served with a small side salad. Overall, my visit was enjoyable.

I went to this caffe, because the waiting queue at gregg was out of the door. I thought I'd wait fast because there was no waiting. I ordered cheese for toast and waited mins for it. I was hoping it would be delicious, how wrong I was. the broth was not roasted and the cheese was melted to broth in a microwave. they have accused of this misery. the menu has everything and the kitchen wash basin on it. the service is bad. the make server pretended that he was interested in the customers and he practically walked a customer out of the door because he dared to conduct a conversation with him after he had spent his money. rubbish personal, rubbish café, over increased prices for what they serve. when they see a long waiting queue at gregg’s, they come along and wait for how long it takes, their money will be spent better. Avoid going into cafe express, they will be awake for an rude and the workers will pretend they like them and they will not .especially if they are not caucasian.

This is a classic cafe serving good food at affordable prices. The portions are generous and the service is fast, as long as it's not too crowded. The staff is friendly, making it a great value for the money.

I and my partner went in this caffe the most days of the week. but stopped for rude staff. we decided to go with us and was hungry. it was the last and last time we're ever going. my partner had been in yorkshire pudding. gravy was cold and salty sausage, where lukewarm and the yorkshire pudding was the life less and taste less. I must say the best thing about the meal was the coffee and when we were gone. cafe express they have lost more customers
