Visited on the back of recommendations for their gluten free options as the owners wife is coeliac apparently, ordered a gluten free breakfast and was brought g... read more Visited on the back of recommendations for their gluten free options as the owners wife is coeliac apparently, ordered a gluten free breakfast and was brought gluten free toast however I could see it had been done in a toaster which is a massive mistake for anyone with coeliac disease! I questioned if it was the same toaster as the regular bread and the waitress said it was!! I’d have been poorly for a week if I’d eaten it! This is really bad when they’re advertising gluten free options and the staff need training on how serious allergies/intolerances can be! I also watched the chef come out of the toilet wiping sweat off her head with a paper towel then straight into the kitchen, shame as the cafe itself is lovely! won’t be back I’m afraid

We w... read more Once again Chris and staff came up with yet another very pleasant experience for our visit. Friends over from Liverpool and we booked two tables for lunch. We were extremely well looked after and the food was delicious, tasty, hot and well presented and all at a very reasonable price. Four of us had panini, the special ploughman’s panini proving very popular and one of our party had a tuna and cheese melt. I thought her eyes were going to pop out when it arrived. She loved it. One person had the home made chilli which he said was great, as it always is, being home made to an old family recipe! Service was exceptional and everyone enjoyed a very leisurely and enjoyable meal. Thank you to the whole Blend team who do a very professional job.
