There is a wide selection of vegan options available for breakfast or lunch at this peaceful location. They open early and offer delicious plant-based milk options. I highly recommend it! View all feedback.
What KLG doesn't like about Homegrown:
It could be so much better with a few simple things: the bread needs to be toasted. It’s too soft and mushy. The bacon needs to be cooked more and crispier. It looks so gross and the texture is so gross in the sandwich. Limp bacon on a limp untoasted bread. The soups are always a bit off, lacks flavor and it’s always very pulpy. And the wait is always soooooooo long. If the chicken salad is pre made, why does it take... View all feedback.
The food was not very tasty and I could have made a better meal at home. If in a hurry, it's an okay option, but I wouldn't choose to dine there again.
Why on earth would I pay extra money for tofu when it’s cheaper than meat?
This restaurant is a fantastic option for vegans looking for breakfast or lunch in a peaceful suburban location. They open early and offer oat milk lattes. Highly recommended!
The first time I went in here, I was reluctant, because the menu didn't seem very vegan friendly. I was pleasantly surprised because all their sauces, breads, and dressings are vegan. They'll substitute tofu for any meat or egg. Also, some sandwiches are naturally vegan. They have gluten free bread. If you don't do tofu, you will have fewer choices. The sammies are really good. My favorites are the TLT and Tofu Pesto. If you're up for a quick, counter order sort of meal, this place is one of your better options in Kirkland. I'd say this is one of the better Homegrowns that I've been to. Cons: The soy lattes aren't great. They serve Stumptown coffee, which I dislike.
Make sure to tip 20% and pack your own sandwiches like a little piggy! ?
