it is Actualy the Roessle = a small horse, a cozy German tavern with an innovative chef and outstanding food. The chef has real talent and i was in many visits never disaponted no matter what i ordered. We have been here as a couple, with friends and in larger groups and everyone enjoyed . If the service the food and the wine stay as good as before we always come back. View all feedback.

We were at lunch and could sit outside in the garden, nice quiet location with very quick and friendly operation

We have loved this restaurant for many years, but ever since the lovely male waiter left, we have noticed that standards are slipping.I think this will be our last visit as I am so shocked by the poor quality of service and also the poor thoughtless mixture of food. There were 5 waitresses including the boss hanging around, but they were seemingly self-absorbed. We sat inside, despite the glorious weather because of the lovely nature of the wooden German-style restaurant and the restaurant was pretty empty. Outside it was really warm; 25 degrees and we ordered the surprise 3-course menu (36 Euros (the 4 course menu costs 48 Euros)) because we assumed the chef would know that when it is so warm, one would like a light meal. However, the main course was beef cheeks served with tomatoes and huge stodgy fried semolina-type wedges. I ordered a glass of wine and it took me 3 times being asked by various waitresses - including the boss - and every time repeating the same order, and then finally 15 minutes later having to remind a 4th waitress that I had ordered wine, and could she please check where it was. In the meantime I was watching all of the waitresses hanging around the counter not knowing what to do with themselves.I had a cheese platter for dessert and I received 2 small strips of bread for about 200g of cheese... I kept checking for a waitress, but unfortunately they were all busy with themselves. It was a very frustrating evening and I certainly don't plan on returning, although we have come here for dinner approximately every 2 months.
In the rössle you can order a surprise menu. But you should not be looking forward to it, because if you order it, there is a surprise in the communication, this can only be ordered in a table. But as soon as one in the group gets out, it won't work anymore. so the one is extra-seed and order the one he wants, works for the others with the surprise menu suddenly again. are you all right? what? absurd and annoying? This is what you can say!Notwithstanding such malaises, a visit in the rössle is worth it, because the restaurant belongs, although somewhat remotely, to the leading peak gastronomy of the church. the sweet potato soup with lobster ravioli is a wonderful composition: very characteristic of the particular taste of the individual components that do not inappropriately overlap, and yet a perfect harmonie of the entire impression. the sweets of the maibble ridge with celery puree and apricot sauce and asparagus are prepared with a sweetness and aroma. the portion for 32.50 euro is, however, very clearly visible. of high quality also the Nougat semi-frozen as dessert. the service is carefree and friendly; the serious manko with the surprise menu order can be sure that the service is not affected.Leider was exorbitantly loud this evening, because not all visitor groups, who feed in a high level, are also acting accordingly.
