My husband had the Wiener schnitzel and I had the farmer bratwurst . It was not only the best meal we had while in Europe, but quite possibly the best meal we 've ever had. Certainly the best German food we 've ever had. The price was reasonable. Not cheap but not outrageous. If you 're in this area or you have transportation, you 'll be very glad you went!
Really very disappointing and absolutely not recommended. The meat is not edible to compare the pommes more with cardboard and the service a catastrophe. We were served all but well. We had to eat and even the redistribution was not enjoyable. We have eaten separately in a group, the subsequent food was then also wrong and there was no excuse. On the contrary, we were treated badly. The boss did not accept any criticism and even treated us very badly. Very disappointing and very expensive evening. Never again!
Now yes, creatiw and imaginatively the almost exclusively regional standard dishes-containing menu does not present itself, but this restaurant can convince by fresh, moderate prices and large portions -- although unfortunately only with some restrictions. the soup offer is limited to fluffing and tomaten soup. I chose the latter and was initially quite irritated: the suppe of amazingly darker color tastes not fruity, but apparently alienated by some ingredients that I did not betray and which I could not identify perfectly. I liked the (usually sharply seasoned) suppe after short accusation of spoon to spoon more, but would not recommend it to children, because the rather hearty, not by taste enhancers and sugary taste children may seem very strange and therefore less pronounced. My asian cow carving with late zle was a huge proportion. it was apparently prepared with butterschmalz and therefore delicious and buttery, but the added, viscous floury roast sauce was less pleasant. Unfortunately, my carving was also extremely borderline, as it had got too much heat -- at some places burned black, at others just acceptable. such a thing happens often, and one wonders how shameless hosts serve such a thing if the restaurant visitor does not rigorously refuse to accept it. Afterward, it usually means you just have to say something and get a new meal. no, wrong: right, fair and levely it would be, not to let anything out of the kitchen at all.So think for and against in this really sympathetic restaurant strange the balance: you can not really recommend it, but also not unambiguously guess. because the dining room is cozy and the service friendly, we will soon dare a second attempt.
We were looking forward to our hike over the beer garden and ordered the day dish (omlett with sweetheart) on the recommendation of a hospitable at the afternoon. the guest was probably known to the owner. in confidence on the prices in the menu we did not ask about the price. We regret that later, because for the price that was calculated we could have eaten a meat dish. it was disproportionate and just didn't fit. we immediately thought: moon price. would have liked to have come back, but that doesn't make any trust. we will never order anything again without asking the price before.
After a long hike a deserved reward. super eating and very friendly staff. price performance ratio more than fair.
