Perhaps one of the best museums of national, cultural and tribal history in the continent. The way the exposition is organized is superb. However the amount of trash and chaos in the gardens are a pity for the beauty of the building the cultural richness it houses. View all feedback.
Very nice place to get to know the history and culture of the Congo. I learned so many things about the different tribes. Definitely worth a visit!
I really enjoyed visiting this place. While they don’t have that many exhibits compared to museums in the US, what they did display seemed well curated and labeled. Seeing all diverse array of masks and aerophones from around the country was a treat!! Expansive and beautiful garden and entrance area with marble stone. While we were there a wedding party and at least 3 large groups of school children came to visit.
Paid 10$ but didn’t found anything worth of money. Couple of colorful pictures were there you can take photos and I believe they can improve a lot and place much more about their past culture which was missing. For locals they charge 2k Congolese Francs
A modernised conservation effort of the Congo's antiquities. Wonderful place to visit.
It reminded me of the Black History Museum in Dakar I was pleasantly surprised and learnt about the history of the DRC from the colonial days till date.
